Unlike many parks that feel quiet and reserved, Washington Square Park feels alive. On any given day you may see street musicians performing, chess games happening in the plaza, families relaxing under the trees, and groups gathering around the fountain... That mix of daily routine and city energy is what makes the park feel authentically New York.
