Bad Bunny Halftime Show Costume Takes Top Prize at Washington Square Park Dog Halloween

Oct 19, 2026

The results of the Washington Square Park Conservancy’s 2026 Dog Halloween Costume Contest are in. Congratulations to our winners, and thank you to all of the pups and their humans who made this weekend so much fun!

Dog Halloween is an annual Washington Square Park tradition. It’s one of the many ways we celebrate the four-legged friends of the park, bringing people and pups together.

First place: Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl Halftime Show

A man dressed all in white with a headset microphone holds a small black-and-white dog wearing a football costume on a red carpet in Washington Square Park. Beside him, a woman wearing ferns and a leafy crown holds a microphone and a bundle of tall grasses as spectators watch from behind barricades.

Second place: Spaghetti and Luce-balls

A small white dog dressed as a plate of spaghetti and meatballs, with yarn noodles over a red sweater, sniffs the red carpet in Washington Square Park. Two children walk beside the dog in shiny silver outfits, one wearing a plate headband and the other a fork headband, as spectators watch and take photos from behind barricades.

Third place: Picnic in Central Park (with picnic baskets)

Two Yorkshire terriers with red gingham bows sit in a stroller decorated as a Central Park picnic, with a red checkered blanket, artificial grass, and a basket of faux fruit and bread. Behind them, a painted backdrop shows Bow Bridge, a horse-drawn carriage, and the San Remo towers as children watch from behind a barricade.
